Castle Awan, ruled by Salim Singh Hada of Bundi during the 15th century, was later used as a shooting lodge for the maharajas of other states. Guests to the Castle are invited to participate in the Kite Festival held every year. Another unique event is a football game in which the entire village becomes a football field.
