:Camel Fair: The colourful Pushkar Camel Fair, one
of India's biggest festivals, brings visitors from

according to the Hindu calendar but it always falls
on the full moon of Kartik Purnima, or sometime in
October/November. More than 200000 people bring an
estimated 50,000 camels to the town. The objective
is not only livestock trading but also pilgrimage
and festivities in the form of camel races and street
theatre. Musicians and jugglers regale the tourists
and pilgrims alike as the town throbs with activity.

Temples: Pushkar is the only place
in the world where Lord Brahma, the Hindu God of Creation,
is worshipped. Brahma Temple, the most important temple
